Recruitment Countdown Day 2: Tam Nguyen

1. Why did you join Delta Sigma Pi and what have you gained from this organization?

Before joining Delta Sigma Pi, I was simply a lost first year finding my place in Cal State Fullerton. With absolutely no professional wardrobe and messy resume, I scrambled to apply as I wanted to hopefully fulfill my college experience. Today, I am so proud of everything I have accomplished, and I am not kidding when I say this organization truly changed my life. I had my first summer internship with Target, learned how to network with others, grown so professionally, but most importantly, brotherhood. I am so blessed to be around such like-minded individuals who constantly encourage me to excel within my career and personally as well. My goal now is to help others grow in any way possible. I'm super excited for this recruitment season!

2. Tell me about your topic and why you’re passionate about it. How has it impacted you? What made you get into it? Tell us anything you want about it!

I am so passionate in the endless creativity fostered from the art of graphic design. This is why I decided to pursue a Marketing career. As the Director of Marketing of this chapter, it has truly expanded my creativity to brainstorm fresh ideas to market for our organization. I use mostly Adobe softwares with some of my favorites being Adobe xd, Photoshop, and Lightroom. I was a part of my high school yearbook team which taught me the fundamentals, and ever since, I kid you not when I say I could sit for hours just designing. My favorite thing to design has to be typographies. I hope to use my knowledge and help anyone step foot into the graphic design world as well!

3. Any advice for prospects?

My biggest advice is to make meaningful connections as you can. The most important thing we want from you is to be yourself! Don't be shy and talk to any of the brothers because our chapter truly consists of the most down to earth individuals. If you see me around, I'd love to meet you!
